                                 Department of Pharmacology & Neuroscience

      Kimberly Brown, RN, CRC

Our researchers conduct basic research at the cellular level in the interest of helping to develop real therapies for issues and conditions that affect real patients. Some of our many areas of focus are the effects of estrogen on hot flashes, dietary interventions that may affect cognition (thinking), and the relationship of menopause to cognitive aging (such as the risk of developing Alzheimer's disease). We are also very interested in the role of ethnicity in the development of cardiovascular disease, symptoms of menopause, and brain aging.

Please contact Kim Brown, Clinical Research Coordinator, at 817-735-2694 or kbrown@hsc.unt.edu if you would like information about our clinical research studies.
