Research

Goal: To foster an environment for intellectual interactions and to promote collaborative scientific investigation (basic, clinical, and social science) aimed at addressing the multi-factorial issues that relate to women’s health.

·         Expand current activities in addressing questions relevant to women’s health and gender issues.

·         Establish new research collaborations within and across disciplines within UNTHSC and the community.

·         Establish training opportunities for graduate students, residents and medical students such that students from various disciplines (basic science, clinical, public health or education) can be introduced to, and perform cutting-edge research that is relevant to the women's health issues.

Current areas of focus:  Birth outcomes, Women's Cancer, Vulnerable Populations and Health, Menopause and Hormone Therapy.
