Welcome to the Care Program Website!

The Consortium on Alzheimer's Research and Education (CARE) Program is a national program that links facilities that provide care for residents with Alzheimer's disease with the University of North Texas Health Science Center (UNTHSC) researchers and faculty physicians. The mission of the CARE Program is to work with providers on research, education and training, devoted to the evaluation, treatment and prevention of Alzheimer's disease. While visiting with us, you can find information on the latest research being conducted by UNTHSC faculty on Alzheimer's disease and aging. The Research tab will also access information on clinical trials related to Alzheimer's disease that you may wish to learn more about. If you have questions about Alzheimer's disease or related disorders, click on "Ask the Health Care Professional." Finally, the Geriatric Resources tab will provide information on other geriatric programs at UNTHSC including the Geriatric Assessment and Planning Program (GAP) and the Geriatric Education and Research Institute (GERI). If you would like to examine an extensive list of web sites on aging and Alzheimer's disease, please click on the Links tab. Thank you for visiting with us and we hope you enjoy "navigating" this site.

With regards,
Thomas J. Fairchild, Ph.D.
Director, Special Projects on Aging
