The Texas
Center for Music and Medicine is an interdisciplinary research
center that provides opportunities for graduate students from
a number of disciplines to conduct basic and applied research.
To date, graduate students from UNT's
College of Music, UNT
Health Science Center, and UNT's
Speech and Hearing Clinic have individually and collaboratively
conducted and presented their research studies at regional and
national conferences. Students are also provided with the opportunity
to collaborate with faculty on conducting research in the fields
of hearing loss, mental health, medicine, music and human performance
engineering. Opportunities exist for students to develop their
research studies into theses and dissertations while taking
full advantage of the faculty and facilities available to them
at the Texas Center for Music and Medicine. Students interested
in applying for graduate research assistantships should email
their requests to tcmm@music.unt.edu.
