Mission Statement

"The mission of the Office of Research is to assist all components of the Health Science Center in identifying research opportunities, securing support, and conducting research.  The office functions in pre-award and post-award activities of sponsored studies including basic and clinical sciences, public health, outcome assessments, educational, and other research.  The office oversees issues relating to intellectual property, technology transfer, and interfacing of the Institution with the external research and biotechnology community. The Office of Research assures compliance with all international, federal, state, and private regulations relating to research."
