What can Aikido do for YOU???

Aikido helps improve stamina, flexibility, balance, and sensitivity.  You do not need to be in perfect physical condition to begin training.  No age is too old to practice Aikido.  You work at your own pace and set your own goals.  Your only opponent in Aikido is yourself.

Mental Conditioning

Aikido training goes beyond the physical.  Through physical techniques and ki development, one can reduce stress and increase self-confidence that can help you deal with daily life.  In addition to being an effective martial art for self defense, Aikido stimulates one to look within and change for the better.

Spiritual Aspects of Aikido

Aikido is a martial art that deals with the entire person.  Instead of returning aggression with aggressive techniques, Aikido teaches you to extend your energy and to reply in a positive, effective manner.  In training, students work together to learn about harmony (Ai), positive energy (Ki), and making this a way of life (Do).  Through training with our fellow students we become more efficient and confident in our movements.
