Equipment

Diagnostic equipment is required by the second ICE week, usually at the end of November. Buying diagnostic equipment early is discouraged. A student organization (e.g. Internal Medicine Club) will sponsor a company such as WelchAllyn to sell equipment at a discount and tax-free.

The following items are required for medical students:

ophthalmoscope (either panoptic or coaxial)
otoscope
sphygmomanometer and adult cuff
cardiology stethoscope
reflex hammer
tuning fork
