Texas Tech University (after Texas A&M right out of high school; and after getting 120+ college hours from the junior college in Amarillo, Amarillo College )
About Me:
Married, May 22, 1998. I am so lucky to be married to Mike; he has been my strength and motivation for many years & especially thru 1st year of Med School
Pets: mini poodle, K.C.; which seems to be the sickliest dog I've ever known (serious bout w/ pancreatitis & now severe allergies!) but he is our baby.

Hobbies: when is there time? I like just being outdoors; and Mike and I like to go to car shows and motorcycle and car races.

Color: Blue...I have a blue truck & most of the clothes in my closet are blue...

Residency program interest: probably ER, but also maybe Infectious Diseases
Additional Information:
Few people in the class know this, but I have an Honorable Discharge from the Air Force. I also worked full time for 4 years while working on my undergrad degree; I was a Surgical Tech and got to see a bunch of interesting things come thru the trauma doors (heart by-passes, ruptured AAA, hand shredded from a paper shredder, bicycle handle bars embedded in a leg). Also, I am the 1st person in my family to graduate from college, let alone go to Medical School .
