The UNT Health Science Center is pleased to present this year’s black-tie gala, To Your Health and a Healthier Community, celebrating our newest
school, the School of Health Professions. Our event will also honor U.S. Congresswoman Kay Granger for her steadfast support of the UNT Health
Science Center.The gala will be held at the Renaissance Worthington Hotel in downtown Fort Worth on Saturday, November 5, 2011, at 6:30 p.m.
The formal evening will be attended by more than 600 community leaders, alumni, friends and supporters and will feature an elegant ambiance,
gourmet dining, fellowship and great dance music. To Your Health provides an excellent means to help sustain our world-class educational, research,
patient care and community outreach programs.
Careers as either a physician assistant or a physical therapist are among the most rewarding and needed of all the health care professions today. The
UNT Health Science Center School of Health Professions, established in 2004, provides training in these areas through two academic departments,
the Department of Physical Therapy and the Department of Physician Assistant Studies.
The UNT Health Science Center is state assisted, not state supported. In fact, less than a third of our annual operating budget is provided by tax
dollars that fluctuate based on the Texas economy and skyrocketing public needs. The rest must come from clinical revenues, research grants and
private gifts.
EVERY GIFT IS AN INVESTMENT IN A HEALTHIER, SAFER AND BETTER FUTURE.
Thank you for your interest in supporting the people and programs of the UNT Health Science Center during our To Your Health gala.
