Post Bac Program and DNA Lab make headlines

Calibre Macro World highlighted the Health Science Center’s post-baccalaureate premedical certification program in a story dated Feb. 7, saying that the program “provides an opportunity for individuals to enhance their credentials for entry into medical school by offering a challenging biomedical science core curriculum in graduate biochemistry, cell biology, physiology, and pharmacology.”  The article quotes R.E. Reeves.

The Austin American-Statesman included a mention of UNTHSC's DNA analysis in a story about Charles Wyatt, a 62-year-old man killed by a blow to the head in 1990.

Former HSC faculty member Dr. Peter A. Kiener has been appointed executive vice president of MedImmune, according to a news release that was picked up by Calibre Macro World, Medi-Lexicon Online and kron4.com.

Our new construction was among those listed in a Fort Worth Business Press article about how Fort Worth ranks nationally in growth. The article notes that "Fort Worth has become one of the best cities for growth and job creation in the entire country. Forbes has ranked Fort Worth as the fifth-best city in the nation for jobs in 2008."  The Business Press also reported that Dr. Elwyn Grimes has joined JPS and the faculty at HSC.
