UNT Health Science Center's Commencement this Saturday will feature an international thought leader in patient safety as guest speaker, plus a formal commissioning ceremony for graduates entering the U.S. military. John Nance, JD, author of the award-winning book Why Hospitals Should Fly, will deliver his address during ceremonies honoring 600 health professionals receiving degrees.
Col. Dennis Shingleton, U.S. Army (Ret.) and Fort Worth City Council member, will commission into the armed forces seven new physicians who are graduates of the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine. A loved one will pin each of these new officers with their rank.
