Nature paintings brighten Atrium for Gallery Night

Gallery Night UNTHSC Heart of Cherries in a Bowl
Heart of Cherries in a Bowl by Soon Y. Warren
The vibrant colors of nature as painted by Fort Worth artist Soon Y. Warren are on exhibit in UNTHSC's Atrium Gallery, open to the public daily and from 1 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 7, for Fall Gallery Night.

Atrium Gallery is among scores of venues participating in the 36th installment of this event sponsored by the Fort Worth Art Dealers Association.

Warren's exhibit titled "The Passion of Nature" comprises some 50 watercolors and oils and will be on view through September. Her delicate use of color and light are applied to subjects including birds, flowers, intricate crystal, bicycles and architecture.

The nonprofit Atrium Gallery, in the Carl E. Everett building at 3500 Camp Bowie Blvd., Fort Worth, supports the local art community by showcasing emerging and renowned artists in 10 to 12 exhibits per year. Since 1985 the gallery has hosted a high school art competition open to students in 10 counties.
