Most cancer cells, including neuroblastoma cells, crave HDL, or "good" cholesterol. Lacko's work uses nanoparticles to deliver anti-cancer medications directly to the cholesterol-hungry cancer cells while avoiding damage to healthy cells, thus preventing the devastating effects of chemotherapy.
TeamConnor is dedicated to spreading awareness, supporting families and raising funds for childhood cancer research. It has awarded more than $1.2 Million in research grant funding in the last five years.
