CASTLE WINS CHANCELLOR AND EXCELLENCE IN PEDIATRICS AWARDS AT THE TEXAS COLLEGE OF OSTEOPATHIC MEDICINE SENIOR AWARDS RECEPTION


Krystal Castle, DO, won $1,000 and a plaque as this year’s recipient of the Chancellor’s Award and $300 and a plaque for the Excellence in Pediatrics award given at the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine senior awards reception.

The Chancellor's Award is presented to the graduating senior who has demonstrated high academic achievement, is active in areas of leadership or representation of the osteopathic profession during undergraduate medical training, and understands the role of the osteopathic profession in shaping future directions of health care in the United States.

Dr. Castle, a native of Crosby, earned an A.S. in biology from East Texas Baptist University and a doctor of osteopathic medicine degree from TCOM. She will complete her residency in pediatrics at the University of Arkansas.

The reception was held May 19 at the Fort Worth Club.
