HASAN RECEIVES OUTSTANDING MPH GRADUATE AWARD AT UNT HEALTH SCIENCE CENTER
Zeenat Hasan, MPH, received the Bob Crow Outstanding MPH Graduate Award from the University of North Texas Health Science Center.
The award is given to the public health student who best exemplifies the caliber of graduate that the School of Public Health would like to be known for. The factors used to select the student include academic performance, research and community service.
Hasan is a native of Dallas and currently resides in Tempe, Ariz. She is a graduate of the University of Texas at Arlington, holding a bachelor of arts degree in anthropologyr. Hasan earned a master of public health degree from the health science center in commencement ceremonies this spring.
Her research has explored the spread of HIV in Africa and its correlation to globalization, armed conflict and relative poverty.
Hasan received the award at the School of Public Health’s annual awards banquet on May 6, although she was not able to attend the banquet.
